The Boss Equestrian Hannah are women's riding breeches with a high waist and Knee Grip. BOSS makes them in a very stretchy, lightweight fabric that dries quickly and is lint-resistant, with 75% polyamide and 25% elastane. A handy pocket and a BOSS logo patch finish the breeches. The Hannah is the Boss Equestrian breeches model that combines a high waist with Knee Grip. The grip sits at the knee; the seat has no grip. BOSS calls the model super-stretch breeches.
What sets the Hannah in white and black apart from the other BOSS models at Maddelin is the fabric. BOSS describes it as lint-resistant, quick-drying and lightweight. The composition is 75% polyamide and 25% elastane.
The Hannah also has one handy pocket and a BOSS logo patch. BOSS does not say exactly where either of them is. Nor does the brand publish details of the fastening.
Knee Grip or Full Grip?
On Knee Grip breeches the grip sits only at the knee; with Full Grip it also covers the seat. Knee Grip is not only worn for show jumping. Some brands call their Full Grip models 'dressage' and their Knee Grip models 'jumping'; that tells you about the grip type, not about who wears the breeches. If you want the high waist of the Hannah but with Full Grip, look at the Hailey.
White for competitions, black for every day
Maddelin stocks this Hannah in white and black, each from XXS to XL. White is allowed in all disciplines. The national dressage rules ask for white breeches; the Dutch version also allows buff, the French version off-white. Rules differ by federation, discipline, level and country and change regularly: check your federation's current rules.
The black Hannah is a pair for training and everyday riding.
Two versions of the Hannah
At Maddelin you will also find a Hannah in Tealeaf and Tortoise. That is a different BOSS article (B8W1304) in an ultra-lightweight fabric with 73% polyamide and 27% elastane, with a smartphone pocket. This Hannah in white and black is article B4W1304.
Care: wash at 30 °C on a delicate programme, no bleach, no tumble dryer, no ironing and no dry cleaning.
